When a family is going through one of life’s major traumas, what they want most is to feel cared for the patience and helpfulness that the Majestic staff members provided was what I needed to get through my process and the fact that the funeral directors took the time to listen to and understand my family's needs meant the world to me. My mother passed away in North Carolina, but my family wanted her body buried in Virginia. Eric & Terri assured me they could accommodate my family's needs. And that is exactly what they did. Majestic Funeral Home was very professional and caring during the time of my mother’s home going. They answered every phone call, text and question that we had, promptly. Eric and Terri Matthews made the sad occasion of the homegoing of my sister, Shirley Lacewell, bearable. Their compassion and professionalism will forever be appreciated and remembered. From the moment I called Majestic Funeral Home and spoke with Terri after my sister's passing, to the moment Eric presided over the committal services, I felt immense relief knowing they would be with me every step of the way.

The Matthews and their staff became the support I needed when my siblings and other family members, who due to the Covid19 precautions and travel constraints, could not be present physically. Not only did they support me during the process, they have continued to support me after.

What an awesome group of people. Definitely made life much easier knowing that they were handling our love one Betty Capers. Terri and Eric were so loving, caring, and attended to our every need. We entrusted our mother ,V. Hall Lennon with this group of highly trained professionals , and they went beyond the call of duty. They were with our family the entire time of our mothers home going services with call, emails, texts and coming by the house to check on us and bring food for our family and guest. Our family is usually not the type that will take the time to write a review about a product tried; or a service received, either good or bad. However, we were so pleased with the services that we received from Majestic Funeral Home; we decided that we wanted to take time out to write this review. Majestic’s motto on their website says “Excellence in Life Celebrations”. However that does not begin to indicate the excellent, 5-star service that we received from Majestic Funeral Home during the funeral planning process and the homegoing services for our mother/grandmother. The warm, kind, & caring manner, extra special attention, patience, fairness and professionalism that Eric & Terri showed our family was more than we would have ever expected from funeral directors, or a funeral home service! They consistently went “above and beyond” in unexpected ways to show that they were genuinely concerned and genuinely cared about our family and how we were doing during what was a very difficult time for us. They treated us like we were a part of their own family; and not just a customer. We had been to funerals in the past at other funeral homes; in which the deceased person did not look anything like themselves after preparation. So we were a little concerned that after preparation, whether or not our mother/grandmother would still look like the person that we loved so much. However, we can say that we were very pleased with the wonderful job that the Majestic Funeral Home staff did with the preparation and display of our mother/grandmother’s body. She looked just like herself; and looked like a beautiful, sleeping angel. Also, the honor and deep respect that the Majestic staff showed to our mother/grandmother’s casket at the end of the funeral service was like the honor and respect shown to a dignitary; and as if she was the most important person in the world; and not just a deceased body in a casket. We can truly say that we were not disappointed with a single thing throughout our entire process of funeral arrangement planning or the funeral services provided by Majestic Funeral Home. And it’s not very often that you can say that about a business. We pray that our family will not need funeral services again anytime in the near future. However, if so, we would choose Majestic Funeral Home again, without any doubt. Eric & Terri, THANK YOU, for the EXCELLENT service that you gave to our mother/grandmother and our family!
