Reverend Alma Aveon Lacewell

Submitting to the predestined will of God, our personal and funeral home family are consoling the remaining loved ones of Reverend Alma Aveon Lacewell as they attempt to cope with this great loss. The Lacewell’s family circle was forever changed Saturday evening, April 10, 2021 when Reverend Lacewell quietly went to sleep in the bosom of Jesus Christ while resting at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

The services that will honor this Virtuous Matriarch have been orchestrated by her devoted family and will begin on Thursday, April 15, 2021, between the hours of 6pm and 8pm for reflecting moments while Reverend Lacewell lies in a peaceful state of repose in the main chapel on the premises of Majestic Funeral Homes’ Riegelwood Campus. A Triumphant Grand Finale Graveside remembering this precious jewel will begin at 1pm on Friday, April 16, 2021, in the Graham Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery in Riegelwood, NC. One can only imagine the void Reverend Lacewell’s family will have doing things that once involved her, but all can find solace knowing that this world was simply a dressing room. Now she has earned her glorious crown of righteousness and beautiful custom long white robe, and she is touring the streets paved with pure gold, awaiting that day when she will see all of her loved ones yet again in glory. 

Priceless memories will forever be etched in the hearts of so many such as her husband: Robert Lacewell; three children: Kim Lacewell, Shenna Lacewell and Alan Lacewell; nine grandchildren; three sisters: Sadie Daniels, Margret Johnson, Reverend Olivia Allen, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving love and encouragement through visits and calls at the residence located at 4240 Sawmill Rd NE., Leland, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
