Ms. Mary Lou Dixon Andrews Obituary

In extreme sorrow, the staff of Majestic Funeral Homes is embracing the tender hearts of the loved ones of Ms. Mary Lou Dixon Andrews. Ms. Andrews received her angelic wings Wednesday at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

The Legacy events will begin on Thursday morning November 3, 2022 between the precious minutes of 12noon and 2pm in the main sanctuary of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church in Riegelwood, NC, where Ms. Andrews will lie in tranquil repose for family and friends to gather for a public visitation.  At the conclusion of the visiting moments, a Glorious Farewell Celebration will commence at 2pm.  Immediately following the services in the sanctuary, Ms. Andrews’ delicate vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to the Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.  It will be in this designated location that Ms. Mary will remain, until Gabriel blows his trumpet and the King of Kings descends from Heaven with one foot on the celestial seas and one foot on a crimson cloud, commanding all of His beloved children to enter into their mansion beyond the skies. Although this Thursday will be a sad day for Ms. Mary’s family having to say “good-bye” to this precious gem, all can find solace knowing she is in that Land where everyday is going to be like Sunday and there is always “Howdy Howdy” and never anymore “good-byes."

Ms. Andrews was greeted at Heaven’s gates by those who proceeded her in passing like her father Levi E. Dixon; mother Ethel Shipman Dixon; brothers: William Ervin “Sleepy” Dixon, James “Jimmy” Dixon, Levi Delano Dixon, Anthony Dixon and sister, Delanrio Dixon

A multitude of memories will be forever cherished by two sons: Anthony Andrews and Travis Andrews: four grandchildren: Tkai Christen Andrews, Princess Aaniyah Andrews, Nia Leigh  Andrews, and Anthony Dixon Andrews II; Siblings: Virginia Cousar (Grant), Annie Ruth Teachey, Joseph Dixon (Sheila), Sandra Dixon, Terry Ann Moore ( Craig) , Myrick Dixon (Valbea), Velma Dixon Strickland (Tommy) and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family is receiving guests at 671 Dickson Rd. Riegelwood, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for The Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.

The professionals at Majestic Funeral Homes are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Andrews and connected families.
