As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Majestic Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Ms. Hazel Peterson as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her. Ms.Peterson got her ticket and stepped on that morning train Friday, May 1, 2020 at her residence.
Services to reflect on “The Dash” of Ms.Peterson’s life which was from her time of birth until the moment she entered into everlasting rest are finalized by her cherished family and are as follows. This coming Saturday morning, May 9, 2020 between the hour of 10am to 11am, tender moments of reflection will take place at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, NC. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell" to Ms. Hazel. Later on Saturday afternoon commencing at 1pm there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration also at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Following the services in the house of God, Ms. Peterson’s delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Pone Cemetery for Interment Rites. Ms. Peterson was so much to so many and it will be difficult with her no longer being with us on this side. However, those who loved her can find solace knowing although she enjoyed cutting her grass and maintaining her yard down here, she is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. Yes, everyone will miss her but she sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on Milk and Honey.
Left to cherish her memories: one sister: Shirley Purdie; one brother: Quincey Peterson; three granchildren: Orlando Peterson, Jr., Akilah Peterson and Omari Peterson; two great grandchildren: Capri Wise and Mekhi Peterson; one goddaughter: Iyonna Tootle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Home are working around the clock to provide the Peterson and connected families with uncompromising dignity during this difficult moment in life.
***Attention ALL EXTENDED FAMILY AND GUESTS***
Governor Roy Cooper has passed yet another Executive Order on Mass Gatherings and has reduced the limit of mourners who can attend a visitation and or funeral service. We are ONLY allowing 50 family members including ministers and staff to attend services and or be present in the church at the same time. Services are by invitation ONLY and a ticket MUST be presented at the door in order to attend. The immediate family will give those tickets to the guest they would like to be present at the service. Our firm is committed to providing professional services to each family that we serve while abiding by all of the rules and regulations issued by our state officials. In an attempt to allow those who can’t be present in person to support those who are grieving, Majestic Funeral Home has implemented “Live Streaming” of all Funeral Services. The Bible teaches us that “the strong shall bare the infirmities of the weak” so we feel allowing guests to view the funeral ceremonies with our families in “Real-Time” even if from afar will help those who have lost a loved one find solace knowing others still care. Please select the obituary of the loved one you wish to view services for and the option to watch service “Live” will appear.
God Bless each of you during this trying time in all of our lives.
