Ms. Daisy (Lacewell) Hughes

Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Majestic Funeral Home to inform all, that Ms. Daisy Hughes is now resting in paradise. Ms. Hughes put down this life’s fitful fevers on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Hock Pavilion in Durham, NC. 

The “Dash” between Daisy’s year of birth and year of leaving this world will be honored on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1pm in the Majestic Life Celebration Chapel in Elizabethtown NC. Although it will be a major adjustment for Ms. Daisy’s siblings and family with her no longer being present to enjoy precious moments, all can find comfort realizing she is sitting at the Welcome Table with all of the saints that have gone on before her, beholding the Master’s Glory as she receives her golden keys and her crown of righteousness.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Booker T. Washington Alumni general scholarship fund in memory of Daisy L. Hughes, class of 1963.
