Mrs. Verda Richardson Melvin

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Majestic Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mrs. Verda Richardson Melvin as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her.  Mrs. Melvin got her ticket and stepped on that Morning Train on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her residence in Elizabethtown, NC.

Services to reflect Mrs. Melvin’s rich life sketch  from her time of birth until the moment she entered into everlasting rest are finalized by her cherished family. This coming Friday, October 14, 2022 between the hours of 4pm and 6pm in the main chapel of Majestic Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC tender moments of reflection will take place. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell.”  On Saturday, October 15, 2022 commencing at 11am there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration at the Majestic Life Celebration Chapel in Elizabethtown, NC. Following the services in the chapel, Mrs. Melvin’s delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Turnbull Community Cemetery Elizabethtown, NC for Interment Rites. Mrs. Melvin was so much to so many and it will be difficult with her no longer being with us on this side.  However, those who loved her can find solace knowing she is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. There, she’s sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on milk and honey while enjoying being in the presence of her Heavenly Father. 

The family is receiving visitors at the home her her daughter Martha Lewis located at 390 Frank Melvin Rd. Elizabethtown, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
