Mrs. Ruby (Wendell) McKenzie

With many having mixed emotions and understandably broken hearts, the Majestic Family has been given the solemn duty to serve notice that Mrs. Ruby Wendell McKenzie closed the curtains of this life on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at her residence. 

The hours of 5pm to 7pm on Friday, April 15, 2022 has been designated by the family for those who wish to spend intimate moments with Mrs. McKenzie as she lies in peaceful repose in the main chapel of Majestic Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC. The Obsequies for this Virtuous Woman will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 commencing at 3:30pm on the grounds of Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 5548 Silver Spoon Rd., Whiteville, NC. Following the Order of Divine Worship, Mrs. McKenzie delicate temple along with her cherished relatives will be escorted to the Church Cemetery for Interment Rites. The Master’s promise has been revealed in Mrs. McKenzie. He promised three-score years and ten, which is seventy years old, and He said by reason of strength, He would make it four-score years which equates to 80 years old. Mrs. Ruby was truly a Godly woman because our Heavenly Father saw fit to allow her family and friends to borrow her for 82 years. Now that she has finished her task here on earth, she is resting in paradise and enjoying the Heavenly Host. 

A rich legacy filled with loving memories will be forever cherished by her husband: Harvey McKenzie; five children: Harvey McKenzie Jr., Larry McKenzie, Katrina McKenzie, Comillia McKenzie, Shanida McKenzie and a host of other relatives and friends.
