The book of Job declared " the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that the Majestic Funeral Home Famly announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Otelia Hines Beatty affectionately known as “Ot”. Mrs. Beatty moved into her Heavenly home on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. 

Precious moments have been sat aside by this devoted family on Thursday, December 2, 2021 between the hours of 4pm and 6pm in the main Chapel on the campus of Majestic Funeral Home in Riegelwood, NC. During this time, family and friends can gather to embrace each other as the healing process begins, while reflecting on everlasting memories of Mrs. Ot. A Service to remember this precious jewel will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11am at The New Townsend Temple Ministries in Bolton, NC. Immediately following the proceedings in the house of God, Mrs. Beatty’s delicate temple along with her adored family, will be escorted to Rest Well Cemetery #1 for interment rites. Although Mrs. Beatty's family will leave that earthly resting place without this virtuous woman, they will rest knowing that she is now among the Heavenly Hosts singing that glorious hymn "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory."

She leaves to cherish her memories:  five children: Cleo Jorone Beatty, Cynthia Beatty, Corinthian Beatty, Stephanie Hall (Abern) and Corey J. Beatty (Teresa); five grandchildren: Korrie Beatty, Abreon Hall, Kelvin Galloway, Aeron Hall and Tatianna Williams; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Fannie Hines, Loretta Lendon (Shadney), Arlean Cheatham (Tommy) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and various friends. 

Mrs. Beatty’s family is receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from the Majestic Servants of Service of Riegelwood.
