Mrs. Misty Michelle (Smith) Sykes

The staff and management of Majestic Funeral Home embrace the loving family of Mrs. Misty Michelle Smith Sykes as they remember this precious jewel. Mrs. Sykes retired from life’s fitful fevers on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Wilmington, NC.  

On Friday, April 8, 2022 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, Misty will lie in peaceful repose at Majestic Funeral Homes’ Riegelwood Campus. During these intimate moments, those special to Mrs. Misty and her adored family can support each other as they begin the healing process due to this tragic loss. On Saturday, April 9, 2022 commencing at 2pm a Glorious “See You later” Graveside will be held at Mintz Family Cemetery in Delco, NC. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness, while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead.

She was preceded in death by her brother: Jordan Benson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband: Bobby M. Sykes; one daughter: Catherine Smith (Gabe); mother: Debra Benson (Tom); father: Robert Smith (Teresa); two grandchildren; one sister: Sally Mills (Scott); one brother: Robbie Smith; mother-in-law: Claretha Daniels; special niece: Danielle Mills (Adam); two special nephews: Devin Mills (Katie) and Dwayne Mills (Kimberly) and a host of multiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
