Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Majestic Funeral Homes to inform all, that Mrs. Lucille Featherson is now resting in paradise. Mrs. Featherson put down the cares of this life Monday afternoon, while resting at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
On Sunday, December 18, 2022 between the hours of 2pm and 4pm, Mrs. Featherson will rest in a state of tranquil repose in the main chapel of Majestic Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A formal “farewell” celebration will take place on Monday December 19, 2022 at 11am at Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro, NC. Following the formalities in the sanctuary, Mrs. Featherson along with her devoted family will travel to Sandhill Cemetery in Bladenboro for Committal Rites. Although Mrs. Featherson closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom she loved and loved her, can find solace knowing, she has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
Loving memories are left to her children: Bessie Lewis, Marilyn McCoy, Sherry Bright, Dixie Faison, Phyllis Edwards, Daphine Toomer, Henry Thomas Featherson, Johnny Featherson, Warren Featherson, Jimmy Featherson, William Featherson, Bobby Featherson, Ronald Geathers, Bryant Monroe; 48 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren, 48 great-great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Guests are being received at the residence located at 1931 Zion Hill Church Rd., Bladenboro, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
