Mrs. Gwendolyn “Twinkle” Burns Obituary

With a multitude of compassion and concern, the Majestic Funeral Home Family announces the earthly departure of Ms. Gwendolyn Burns "Twinkle." Ms. Burns pulled the drapes on this journey called life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts.

On Friday, March 20, 2020 between the hours of 7pm and 9pm, Gwendolyn will lie in peaceful repose at Majestic Funeral Homes’ Elizabethtown Campus. During these intimate moments, those special to Mrs. Gwendolyn and her adored family can support each other as they begin the healing process due to this tragic loss. A Service Of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 3:30pm at Highway of Holiness in Elizabethtown, NC. Following the life honoring services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Burns and her cherished family will be escorted to Lewis Cemetery for Interment Rites.

Life long memories will forever be remembered by her husband: Bernard Ottley; her seven children: Angenette Burns-Crume (John Jr.), Antoinette Burns, Zaheer Burns, De'shauna Ottley, Aisha Ottley, Deshaun Ottley and Jamar Ottley (ShaQuasia Rogers) and five grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Homes are serving the Burns and connected families with genuine care and love.

In an attempt to still provide services to our families and abide by the Governor’s order of NO MASS GATHERINGS over 100 people, ALL ATTENDEES to both our funeral establishments and funeral ceremonies will be counted. NO ONE over 100 will be permitted to attend services whether on our premises or at a church. NO MORE than 50 people will be allowed in our establishments at a single time during this crisis. We are truly sorry for any modifications families are having to endure. It is NOT our desire to hinder families and friends from consoling each other during a passing, however, we MUST comply with our lawmakers orders.
