As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Majestic Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mrs. Christine Vernon as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her. Mrs. Vernon got her ticket and stepped on that Glory Train Wednesday afternoon at her residence.
Services to reflect on “The Dash” of Mrs. Vernon’s life which was from her time of birth until the moment she entered into everlasting rest are finalized by her cherished family. This coming Tuesday evening September 22, 2020 between the hours of 6pm and 8pm, tender moments of reflection will take place in the main chapel on the campus of Majestic Funeral Home Riegelwood, NC. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell." On Wednesday morning commencing at 11am there will be a Triumphant Legacy Graveside Celebration at Bethel AME Church Cemetery Leland, NC. Mrs. Vernon was so much to so many and it will be difficult with her no longer being with us on this side. However, those who loved her can find solace knowing she is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. There, she’s sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on milk and honey while enjoying being in the presence of her Heavenly Father.
Christine leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son: Leon Vernon Sr.; one daughter: Eileen Vernon Grady; one sister: Adell Ballard; one brother: Sylvester Ballard; seven grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving visitors at the residence located at 4560 Knox Court, Leland, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Homes are working around the clock to provide the Vernon and connected families with uncompromising dignity during this difficult moment in life.
