Father please give us the wisdom and knowledge needed, as we serve Your children which are the remaining family members of Mrs. Bertha Ree Jessup formerly of White Oak, NC. Mrs. Jessup quietly began the long sleep in the arms of Jesus Christ, early Saturday morning at Daughters of Israel Rehabilitation Center in West Orange, New Jersey.
Commencing on Sunday, March 7, 2021 between the hour of 10am and 11am, Mrs. Bertha’s earthen vessel will lie in a tranquil repose for a time of visitation and reflection on the crisp grounds of Harrison Creek AME Zion Church in White Oak, NC. Immediately following the visiting hours at 11am, the official Obsequies will be called to order. Yes, this is a very hard task for Mrs. Jessup’s family to endure, yet they can rest knowing she is in the number John spoke of in the book of Revelation when it stated “those are they who have come up through hard trials and tribulations and have washed their robes in the Blood of the Lamb."
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Yvonne Michelle Horton of Richmond, VA; son Tracy Jessup (Mary) of Hillside, NJ; two sisters, Katie Lovelace of Jersey City, NJ and Vivian Carpenter (Alvis) of White Oak, NC.; a special and loving cousin, Diane Mitchell; five grandchildren: Davelle Horton, Tymande Horton, Tracey Jessup, Shakeila Wynn (Michael) and Jahad Jessup; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Homes are serving the Jessup and connected families.
