With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. William A. Russell affectionately known as “Amp” are preparing to say “so long” to a special link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Majestic Funeral Home Family. Mr. Russell went down to the ticketing office on Friday, June 23, 2023 and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued him a boarding pass bound for life in Paradise.
On Friday, June 30, 2023, Loving “Farewell” events will take place beginning with moments of visitation, between the hour of 1pm and 2pm in the main sanctuary of Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church in Tarheel, N.C. A Service of Remembrance will come forth at 2pm also in Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church. Following the services at the church, “Amp’s” physical temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the McLeod Family Cemetery in Tarheel, NC for Committal Rites. Although Mr. Russell closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
Guests are being received at 20 Pompie Rd. Dublin, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
E.M. Matthews and the Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Homes are working diligently to provide the Russell and connected families the unconditional love and support needed to make it through this journey.
