Mr. Sylvester Watkins

It is with an abundance of sorrow that the Majestic Funeral Home Family announces the sudden departure of Mr. Sylvester Watkins. Mr. Watkins transitioned from this life to life eternal, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Time has been set aside by the family for those who wish to come and express their condolences, while paying homage to Sylvester.  * Due to inclement weather and our commitment to ensuring everyone's safety, the visitation has been rescheduled to Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, located at 15956 Old Lake Rd, Riegelwood, NC 28456.*  Services to remember Mr. Watkins will also be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11am also at Mt. Pleasant  AME Zion Church in Riegelwood, NC. Following the service, Mr. Watkins along with his devoted family, will be escorted to the Church Cemetery for Committal Rites. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness, while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead. 

The Watkins and connected families are receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from E.M. Matthews and The Majestic Servants of Service.
