Mr. Richard Johnson Jr.

Richard Johnson, Jr. of Newark, New Jersey departed this life on April 19, 2021 in Parsippany, New Jersey. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Johnson, Sr. and his mother, Edna Johnson. 

He is survived by his son, Malcolm Richard Johnson; his brother, Leonard Johnson; and his ex-wife, Sally Johnson, as well as, a host of family and friends.

His life will be celebrated in a Private Graveside Service to be held at his son’s ancestral burial grounds at Carver’s Creek AME Zion Church located at 210 Carver’s Creek Church Road in Council, North Carolina 28434 on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 1:00pm. The public may view the online streaming of the celebration by Googling the Facebook page for the Majestic Funeral
Home and Cremations located at 114 S. Pine Street, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. The video will also remain on the site for a few days following the service. 

The family would like to thank Noy and the staff at Beverwyck House of Merry Heart in Parsippany, NJ for their wonderful care and kindness during Mr. Johnson’s stay.  Our deepest thanks and gratitude, also goes to Marilyn Tilney, his nurse, at Beverwyck House, who from day one looked out for his best interest.  We are forever grateful that he landed at Beverwyck House.
