The staff and management of the Majestic Funeral Home embrace the loving family of Mr. Melvin Lee Brown as they remember this precious gem. Mr. Brown retired from life’s fitful fevers early Monday morning on April 11, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington, NC.
The Obsequies for Mr. Brown will begin on Sunday, April 17, 2022 with a public visitation between the hours of 4pm and 6pm in the main chapel of Majestic Funeral Home in Riegelwood, NC. The events continue with a Triumphant Life and Legacy Celebration on Monday, April 18, 2022 commencing at 1pm at First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Riegelwood, NC. The Majestic Compassionate Professionals will climax the celebrating events by escorting Mr. Melvin along with his adored relatives and friends to the Church Cemetery where there will be an elegant and intimate committal service by the graveside. It will be in this designated location that Mr. Melvin will remain until Gabriel blows his trumpet and the King of Kings descends from Heaven with one foot on the celestial seas and one foot on a crimson cloud commanding all of His beloved children to enter into their mansion beyond the skies.
His Legacy of Love still remains through those who cherish his loving memories: his wife: Mattie Howard Brown; one daughter: Ashley Brown (Shawn); six grandchildren: Kelsey Brown, Kaliyah Brown, Christen King, Nadiyah Howard, Marley Shaw and William Howard; two great grandchildren: Amani Daniels and Autymn Howard; two sons-in-love: Marcus Howard and Christopher King; two sisters: Hattie Eagle (Brooklyn, NY) and Janice Cook (Baltimore, MD); one brother: Ernest Moore (Sussex, PA); brother/caregiver: Foster Daniels; two brothers-in-love: Dolphus Smith (Mary) and Derrick Andrews (Phyllis); five sisters-in-laws: Patricia Moultrie (Randolph), Terry Tshona (Luke), Marie Griffin (Kerry), Devonia Harrison (John), Belinda Hall (Ronald); two brothers-in-law: Alfonza Howard (Vareline), Jeff Howard (Amy); three aunts: Doretta Brown, Catherine Brown and Dorothy Council; four nieces: Lakisha McClean (Luther), Trasand Cook, Shawnette Smith, Braylin Smith; two nephews: Michael Eagle, Coye Cook (Kianna); three great nieces: Riyan, Alexa, Gabby; six great nephews: Trayvon, Mateo, Kaleb, Christopher, Mekiel, Nicholas; goddaughter: Areion Smith; four special friends: James Keith Jr, Gregory Smith, Owen Young, Daniel Harrelson and a host of other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Guests are being received at 885 Sandhole Rd., Riegelwood, NC where they will also assemble for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
