Commencing on Friday, April 23, 2021 between the moments of 5pm and 7pm, a time of visitation and reflection will be held at Majestic Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC. Yes, this is as far as Mr. Purdie’s relatives can trod with him on this side of eternity, however, John the Revelator has sent good news to Mr. Purdie’s loving family when he wrote, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away.” Let the church say......... Amen.

Left to cherish his memories are his two daughters: Odellia Durchanek (Antonin) of Austin, TX and Marceina Purdie (Alex) of Springfield, MA; one stepdaughter: Fatima Morales (Danny) of Springfield, MA; mother: Annie Odell Johnson; father: Lardell Melvin I; three grandchildren: Erica Guzman, Purly Guzman and Arcieri Guzman; four brothers: CSM.
