Mr. Joseph Roy Smith

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. Roy Smith are preparing to say “so long” to a vital link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Majestic Funeral Home Family. Mr. Smith closed the curtains on this journey called life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, while resting at Washington Medical Center in Washington, DC.

On Saturday, April 5, 2025 commencing at 1pm, a Loving Farewell Ceremony will take place at Clark’s Chapel AME Zion Church located at 14743 NC-87 in Tarheel, NC. A viewing will be held from 12noon until 1pm also at the church. Following the formalities in the Sanctuary, Mr. Smith along with his adored family will be escorted to Spring Branch AME Zion Church Cemetery located at 1205 Spring Branch Rd in Tar Heel, NC for committal rites. Although Mr. Smith closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father..
