Mr. Johnathan Jones Obituary

The moment has come and the Majestic Funeral Home Family has been given the solemn duty to announce that Mr. Johnathan Jones is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr. Jones began his life of everlasting peace on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. 

The Services honoring Mr. Johnathan’s legacy will begin with hours of visiting on Friday, July 22, 2022 between the hours of 4pm and 6pm in the main chapel of Majestic Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Mr. Johnathan while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time. On Saturday, July 23,2022 commencing at 4pm, a Loving Farewell Ceremony will take place at Elizabethtown Middle School Gymnasium in Elizabethtown, NC. Following the services in the gymnasium, Mr. Jone’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to Holy Bethel Church Cemetery in Clarkton, NC for Interment Rites. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Jones, one brother, Rashawn Rose and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Left to cherish fond memories: his father: James Baldwin, Jr. (Candice); three sisters: Crystal Burney-Leach (Steve) of Council, NC, Jasmine Jones (A.C.) of Clarkton, NC and Brittany Gore (Brandin) of Raleigh, NC; seven brothers: Jaheim Baldwin of the home, Darius Baldwin of Philadelphia, James Rose, Quamain Rose (Josalyn) and Akimas Rose, all of Whiteville, NC, James Gore of Raleigh, NC, and Caiden Bryant of Clarkton, NC; godparents: Lewis and Stacey Orr of Hope Mills, NC, Melissa Gore of Raleigh, NC who assisted in raising him; two bonus sisters: Monique Jones of Fayetteville, NC and Shaquanda Campbell of Clarkton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Guests are being received at 131 June Cir, Clarkton, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Majestic Ebony Motorcade.

The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Home of Elizabethtown are serving the Jones and connected families with uncompromising dignity.
