The moment has come and the Majestic Funeral Home Family has been given the solemn duty to announce, that Mr. Joel K. Powell, is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr. Powell began his life of everlasting peace on Friday January 13, 2023, while resting at his residence in Raleigh, N.C. surrounded by his loving family.
The Services honoring Mr. Powell’s legacy will begin with an hour of visiting on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 11am until 12noon at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Fairbluff, NC. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Mr. Powell, while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time. Commencing at 1pm, Loving Farewell Ceremony will take place also in the main sanctuary of Sandy Grove . Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Powell’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Butler Branch Cemetery for Interment Rites. This is a journey no family wishes to take with the one they love. However, the Master promised to give them comfort knowing that J.K. Powell is sitting around the Throne, never to deal with life’s fitful fevers again.
Guests are being received at 328 Hamer St. Fairbluff, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
