Mr. Herbert Odell Young

In extreme sorrow, the staff of Majestic Funeral Homes are embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. Herbert Odell Young. Mr. Young received his angelic wings on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Mr. Young, as he rests in tranquil repose in the main Chapel on the premises of Majestic Funeral Home in Riegelwood, NC on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 1pm until 2pm. Commencing at 2pm on the same day, a Service of Remembrance will take place in the main Chapel on the premises of Majestic Funeral Home in Riegelwood, NC. As difficult as it is to accept Herbert no longer being present physically, all can find solace knowing that God promised to wipe away all tears from this family’s eyes as they continue to cope with a missing link in their family’s chain. 

Loving memories will always remain in the hearts of those dear to Mr. Young such as: his three children: Herbert Macdell Young (Marlene) of Las Vegas, Katrina Dell Brown (Jermain) of East Arcadia, NC and Vontell Lamont Allen of Whiteville, NC;  two bonus children: William Ganey and James Ganey (Cheryl) both of Wilmington, NC; ten grandchildren: Austin Young, Makayla Young, Ryan Young, Isaiah Young, Fe’Shawn Northern II, Wisdom Northern, Kayleigh Tyndall, Sequoia Young, Nyemah McLaurin and William Harrell; two great-grandchildren- Za’lyssa Young and Bentley Young; four siblings: Peggy Patrick of Buckhead, NC, Don Young of Leland, NC, Elsie Brooks (Paul), Jerry W. Young both of Council, NC and a host of other special relatives and friends.
