Mr. Edward Bernard Jenkins

January 24, 1964 ~ June 10, 2022 (age 58)

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. Edward Bernard Jenkins are preparing to say “so long” to a vital link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Majestic Funeral Homes Family. Mr. Jenkins went down to the ticketing office on Friday, June 10, 2022 and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued him a boarding pass bound for life in Paradise.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 commencing at 6pm, a Loving Farewell Ceremony will take place in the A.B. Hobbs Memorial Chapel on the Campus Of Majestic Funeral Home and Cremations Elizabethtown NC. Although Mr. Jenkins closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Daisy and William “PJ” Johnson; one brother: Earl Johnson; one sister: Esther Johnson.

Bernard is survived by his wife: Metta; five children: Tony  (Melony), Quiche (John), Chardae, Breona and Kaswanna; eight grandchildren: Destiny (Adolfo), Logan, Jessie, Steven, JoiEssie, Alexandria, Payton and Alijah; five great-grandchildren: Paisley, Aubrey, Braeley, Genesis and Reni; four sisters: Myra Kornegay (Phillip), Alma Tucker, Mildred Lewis and Karen Johnson; two brothers: Bobby Johnson Sr., and Robert Johnson; special niece: Marina Kornegay; two special nephews: Bobby Johnson, Jr., Robert Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving guests at 113 Gowens Rd., Bladenboro, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Funeral Motorcade.

The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic of Elizabethtown are working diligently to provide the Jenkins and connected families the unconditional love and support needed to make it through this journey.
