Mr. Edward Gillespie

The moment has been determined by God and the task has been given to the Majestic Family to advise everyone, that Mr.Edward Gillespie departed this life on Tuesday morning at UNC Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC, leaving his bags behind but holding the hands of two angels dressed in white. No one said anything because all knew where he was going.

The services have been methodically arranged in an order that those special to Mr. Gillespie and his adored family can take part. Commencing on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, between the moments of 10am and 11am, a time of visitation and reflection will be held at St. Luke AME Zion Church in Bladenboro, NC as Mr. Gillespie rests in peaceful repose. A Loving Farewell Service will be called to order following the visitation at 11am also in the main sanctuary of St Luke AME Zion Church. After which, Edward’s mortal remains along with his adored family will be escorted to Brooklyn Memorial Gardens in Bladenboro, NC for interment rites. Yes, this is as far as Mr. Gillespie’s relatives can trod with him on this side of eternity, however, John the Revelator has sent good news to Mr. Edward’s loving family when he wrote, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away.” Let the church say......... Amen.
