In extreme sorrow, the staff of Majestic Funeral Homes are embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. Desmond Jerome Burden. Mr. Burden received his angelic wings on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.
Services to commemorate the legacy of Mr. Desmond will begin with a public visitation on Friday, November 19, 2021 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm in the main chapel on the campus of Majestic Funeral Home Elizabethtown, NC. On the following day Saturday, November 20, 2021 beginning at 1pm. The Celebration of Life service will be held on the grounds of 3943 Red Hill Rd., Whiteville, NC. Following the celebration, Mr. Desmond along with his adored family will be escorted to Singletary Cemetery in Butters, NC for Interment Rites. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead.
Left to forever cherish his memories are his four sons: Azenda Willis, Destreon Burden, Ezekiel Burden and Daimeon Burden; one daughter: Ariyanna Burden; one granddaughter: A’ziya Danai Willis; his parents: Connie and ArthurThompson;two sisters: SharonJones (Ricky) and Pandoria Thompson; seven brothers: Thedius Burden, Tyreed Burden, Isaac Burden, Terrance Burden, Arthur Thompson, Jr., Marlow Thompson and Byron Thompson; special friend: Ronda Singletary and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving guests at 1047 Quill Moore Rd., Clarkton, NC.
