Submitting to the predestined will of God, our personal and funeral home family are consoling the remaining loved ones of Ms. Myrtle Carter as they attempt to cope with this great loss. The Carter family circle was forever changed early Thursday morning, August 27, 2020 when Ms. Myrtle quietly went to sleep in the bosom of Jesus Christ at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.
The services that will honor this priceless jewel have been orchestrated by her devoted children will begin on Tuesday evening, September 1, 2020 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm for reflecting moments at Majestic Funeral Home Elizabethtown, NC. On Wednesday morning, September 2, 2020 a Triumphant Grand Finale Graveside remembering this virtuous woman will commence at 11am at Harrison Creek AME Zion Church White Oak, NC. Following the order of divine worship, Ms. Carter’s delicate temple will be interred into the church cemetery for Committal Rites. One can only imagine the void Ms. Myrtle’s family will have doing things that once involved her but all can find solace knowing that this world was simply a dressing room. Now she has received her glorious crown of righteousness and beautiful custom long white robe and she is walking the streets paved with pure gold awaiting for that day when she will see all of her loved ones yet again in glory.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: Mary Davis, Martha McKiver, Eric Carter; her sisters: Katie Lovelace, Bertha Jessup, Vivian Carpenter; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family is receiving love and encouragement through visits and calls at the residence located at 119 Hayes Mckoy Rd, White Oak, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
The Compassionate Professionals at Majestic are humbled to be a part of this precious family and serve them with uncompromising dignity and love during this difficult time.
