Father please give us the wisdom and knowledge needed, as we serve your children which are the remaining family members of Deaconess Everlean Burney Atkinson. Deaconess Atkinson quietly began the long sleep in the arms of Jesus Christ on Thursday morning surrounded by her loving family at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Whiteville, NC.

Friday and Saturday have been reserved to honor this loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend as the days to honor her life. A time to visit with Deaconess Atkinson and her adored family will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 5pm until 7pm in the A.B. Hobbs Memorial Chapel on the campus of Majestic Funeral Home in the heart of Elizabethtown, NC. Services to celebrate the life and legacy of Deaconess Atkinson, will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 beginning at 2pm also in the A.B. Hobbs Memorial Chapel in Elizabethtown, NC. Following the divine worship in the Chapel, Deaconess Atkinson's delicate temple, along with her cherished family, will be escorted to Savannah Temple AME Zion Church Cemetery in Clarkton, NC for Interment Rites. As difficult as it will be for Deaconess Everlean’s family and friends to say "farewell" on that day, God's love will give everyone comfort, knowing that she is now in the Royal Choir Loft, singing praises to the Lord all day long.

Beautiful memories will forever be cherished by her eight children: Deloris Massenburg (Antonio), Alfred F. Atkinson (Joann), Evelyn Lacks, Earl L. Atkinson (Queen), Joyce A. Atkinson, Marzell L. Chase, Patricia A. Johnson and Fredericka E. Hurtado (Osvaldo); one sister-in-law: Geneva Atkinson Lax and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving guests at 9774 Lisbon Rd., Clarkton, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Funeral Motorcade.
