Deacon Fred Burns

Please allow the Majestic Funeral Home Family to take a moment and solicit your prayers as we announce that Mr. Fred Burns stood on the banks of Jordan Sunday evening and his ship came sailing in at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. 

All who wish to spend precious moments with Mr. Fred and his loving family may do so on Saturday, May 16, 2020 between the hour of 3pm to 4pm and Majestic Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabethtown, NC. The Obsequies for Mr. Burns will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 2pm at Highway Holiness Church in Dublin, NC.  Following the services in the sanctuary Mr. Burns earthen vessel along with his adored family will be escorted to Lewis Cemetery in Elizabethtown, NC for Committal Rites. It is in this physical resting place that Mr. Burns will remain until time is called into eternity and all of God's children will stand before His throne and hear Him say "Well Done, thy good and faithful servant, enter into your Master's joy."

Mr. Burns leaves to cherish his memories one daughter:  Thedis McKoy; two sons:  Erik Burns and Darrwell McKoy; one adopted sister:  Freda McDowell; granddaughters:  Sharecka McKoy Baker, Tarsha McKoy Bain, Tanisha McKoy and LaQuation McKoy and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Other than at the funeral home, this wonderful family will accept guests at 24 Eunice Rd., Elizabethtown, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Majestic Ebony Motorcade.

Governor Roy Cooper has passed yet another Executive Order on Mass Gatherings and has reduced the limit of mourners who can attend a visitation and or funeral service.  We are ONLY allowing 50 family members including ministers and staff to attend services and or be present in the church at the same time and 25 for chapel services. Services are by invitation ONLY and a ticket MUST be presented at the door in order to attend.  The immediate family will give those tickets to the guest they would like to be present at the service.  Our firm is committed to providing professional services to each family that we serve while abiding by all of the rules and regulations issued by our state officials.  In an attempt to allow those who can’t be present in person to support those who are grieving, Majestic Funeral Home has implemented “Live Streaming” of all Funeral Services. The Bible teaches us that “the strong shall bare the infirmities of the weak” so we feel allowing guests to view the funeral ceremonies with our families in “Real-Time” even if from afar will help those who have lost a loved one find solace knowing others still care.
