Mrs. Shirley V. Roberts

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Majestic Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mrs. Shirley V. Roberts as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her.  Mrs. Roberts got her ticket and stepped on that Morning Train early Wednesday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

Services to reflect on “The Dash” of Mrs. Shirley’s life which was from her time of birth until the moment she entered into everlasting rest are finalized by her cherished family. This coming Monday evening between the hours of 5pm and 7pm tender moments of reflection will take place. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell.”  On Tuesday afternoon commencing at 1pm there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration at Faith Tabernacle Christian Center in St. Pauls, N.C.  Following the services in the House of God, Mrs. Roberts’ delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Clarks Chapel Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.  Mrs. Shirley was so much to so many and it will be difficult with her no longer being with us on this side.  However, those who loved her can find solace knowing she is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. There, she’s sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on milk and honey while enjoying being in the presence of her Heavenly Father. 

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Rosalind Davis (Harfel) and Angela Roberts both of Tar Heel, NC and an honorary son:  Michael Troy (Debra) of Missouri; siblings: Theadois Davis (Trenton, NJ), Wilella Stewart (Aaron) Baltimore, MD, Vernon Richardson of Tar Heel, NC; special sisters-in-law: Willie-mae Richardson and Ruby Richardson; five grandchildren:  Tanjie Pearce (Al), Kiya Robinson-Dailey, Shirquaila Roberts Pone (Kendrick), Jabeorn Roberts and Jasaiah Roberts; eight great-grandchildren; in-laws:  Carolyn Roberts, Thelma Thomas, Irene Corbin, Maryann Chairman and Charles Roberts (Louise) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and special friends; with favorable mention her aunts:    Mazree Willis and Juanita Richardson.

The family is receiving visitors at the residence located at 6969 Chickenfoot Rd. St. Pauls, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
