The moment has come when the Majestic Family must pause and inform all that Mrs. Phyllis Reaves no longer resides on this side of the Jordan river. On Saturday afternoon, that Glorious ship of Zion left the dock at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC with Mrs. Phyllis on board bound for Paradise.
Services reflecting on Mrs. Reaves’s journey while on earth will be held on Saturday commencing at 2pm at Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church in East Arcadia, NC. Early arrivers will have an opportunity to pay homage to Mrs. Phyllis on Saturday one hour prior to the Divine Order of Worship. Following the celebratory events in the sanctuary, Mrs. Phyllis along with her cherished family will be escorted to the Church Cemetery for Interment Rites. There, her physical temple will rest until time is called into eternity and all whose spirit has crossed those celestial shores shall reunite with their new body and reign with the Master forevermore.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband: Edward J, Reaves of the home; a stepson: Bernard Reaves of Wilmington NC; raised like a daughter: Jayla Daniels; three sisters: Marvas (Thomas) Miller, Carolyn (Curtis) Bryant, Veronica (Israel) Pollard, all of Riegelwood, NC; three brothers: Eugene (Mary) Graham of Riegelwood, NC; Nathaniel (Teresa) Blanks of Burgaw, NC, Gregory (Lavetta) Blanks of Hampstead, NC; sister-in-law: Janice Graham; six aunts: four uncles; one great aunt: Mary E. Graham; two very close friends: Dee Springfield and Bridgett Graham and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
