With genuine sympathy, the Majestic Funeral Homes announce the transition of Mr. Vernon King from this life to life eternal early Thursday morning at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
On Friday beginning at the 2 o’clock hour, a Service of Remembrance will take place at Graham Chapel AME Zion Church in East Arcadia. Immediately following the recessional out of the sanctuary, Mr. King’s physical temple along with his cherished family will be escorted to the church cemetery for Interment Rites. It will be an adjustment for Mr. Vernon’s sisters, brothers and other relatives not being able to spend time with him any longer while here. However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.”
Vernon leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters: Cynthia Singletary (George), Betty K. Nixon, both of Leland NC; four brothers: Thurston King (Carolyn), Leroy King, both of East Arcadia, NC, Hearl King (Jessie) of East Orange, New Jersey and Larry King (Elnita) of St. Pauls NC; one uncle: Sherman Blanks of Riegelwood, NC; one goddaughter: Pamela Rogers of Bolivia, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitors are being accepted at 740 Bowen Blanks Rd. Riegelwood, NC where they will assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Homes are serving the King and connected families with uncompromising dignity.
