Mr. Pompy Lesesne Obituary

The moment has been determined by God and the task has been given to the Majestic Family to advise everyone that Mr. Pompy Lesesne departed from his residence Thursday morning, leaving his bags behind but holding the hands of two angels dressed in White. No one said anything because all knew where he was going.

Details for Mr. Lesesne’s Life Honoring Services are finalized and have been asked to be announced thusly. On Tuesday evening, beginning at 6pm until 8pm, Mr. Pompy’s family has elected to have him lie in repose for a public viewing in the main chapel on the campus of Majestic Funeral Home.  At  2’o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, a formal “farewell” ceremony will be called to order at Bakers Creek AME Zion Church in Dublin, NC. Immediately following the formalities in the church, Mr. Lesesne’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Shipman-Purdie Cemetery for Committal Rites. One may wonder why Mr. Lesesne would leave his earthly belongings here when he departed this past Thursday. However, those close to him find comfort understanding that where Pompy is now, there was no need for any of his earthly garments or shoes because he has a pair of Golden Slippers and a Long White Robe.

The loving legacy he leaves will always be cherished by:  three sons:  Bishop Grady Walker of Cleveland , OH, John Lesesne (Oshee) and Gregory Lesesne all of  Dublin , NC; two daughters:  Edna (William), Janice and all of Dublin, NC; grandchildren:  Kendell, Scottie (Shenique), Janiesa, AJ, Tamarra, Marlama Karon; great-grandchildren:  Legany, Jaheim, Kendasha,  Kendell Jr., JaQuan, Zymire, Honesty, Jahauez: one brother:  Jimmie Lesane; three sisters:  Juanita  and Louise McCookell of New Jersery and Winnie Purdie of Tar Heel, NC;  two special grands:  Devon Shaw and Danety Ballard; one godson:  Leo Cromartie; three special friends:  Arthur Crumb, Willie White and Ballard Carroll, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving visitors at the residence located at 213 Hester Shipman Lane,  Dublin, NC, where they will assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
