Mr. James Arnold Waddell Obituary

With many having mixed emotions and understandably broken hearts, the Majestic Family has been given the solemn duty to serve notice that Mr. James Waddell no longer has to tolerate life’s fitful fevers.  Mr. Waddell stepped out of life’s backdoor early Friday morning at Autumn Care Nursing Facility in Raeford, NC.

Life and Legacy Services for Mr. Waddell will commence with a public visitation on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at between the hours of 6pm and 8pm at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church located in the Armour Community of Riegelwood, NC.  A formal “farewell” celebration will take place on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 2 o,clock post meridian also at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church.  Immediately following the formalities in the House of Worship, Mr. Waddell’s earthen vessel along with his cherished family will be escorted to the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.  Although Mr. James exited this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.

Left to cherish his fond memories:  one daughter:  Ssherrie Campbell and one grandson:  Raheen Campbell both of Whiteville, NC; one granddaughter: Sonjura Campbell of Raleigh, NC; one sister:  Amber Waddell; four brothers:  Rogers Waddell, Jr., (Vivian), Norva Waddell (Janice),   Terry Waddell (Addie) and Earl Waddell (Shelia) all of the Armour community; five aunts; three uncles; fifteen nieces and nephews; two best friends:  Cleveland Webb and Clemmon Webb and a host of relatives and friends.  

Visitors are being received at 16092 Old Lake Rd. in the Armour Community where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade. 

All expressions of love through monetary gifts and or cards of sympathy and concern, may be forwarded to Majestic Funeral Home P.O. Box 1956, Elizabethtown, NC 28337 and will be submitted to the family. 

The Waddell and connected families are being served with Genuine Compassion and Distinguished Class by the Majestic Servants of Service.
