Welcome to the memorial page for

Mrs. Geraldine Wilson Ballard

December 1, 1943 ~ January 9, 2018 (age 74) 74 Years Old

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Majestic Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Ms. Geraldine Ballard, as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with her. Ms. Ballard got her ticket and stepped on that Old Ship of Zion late Tuesday evening, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Services to reflect on “The Dash” of Ms. Ballard’s life which was from her time of birth until the moment she entered into everlasting rest are finalized by her cherished family and are as follows. This coming Saturday evening between the hours of 4pm to 7pm tender moments of reflection will take place. While there, relatives and friends can unite in love and support for each other as they prepare to say “farewell”.  On Sunday afternoon commencing at 2pm, there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration in the beautiful sanctuary of Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church.  Following the services in the house of God, Mrs. Ballard’s delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Burden Family Cemetery for Interment Rites.  Mrs. Geraldine was so much to so many and it will be difficult with her no longer being with us on this side.  However, she is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold, free from all the pains, heartaches and trials of this world. Oh what a time Mrs. Ballard is now having with all the children of God who have put down the cares of this world and moved in their new home on high.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories her husband:  James Franklin “Billy” Ballard; six sons:  Phil Wilson, Benjamin Ballard, Anthony Ballard, Corey Ballard, Jamie Ballard and Antwan Rogers, all of Elizabethtown, NC; one brother:  Johnny E. Wilson, Sr. (Wanda) of Clarkton, NC; one sister:  Joyce Martin of Fayetteville, NC; twenty-five grandchildren;  twenty-one great-grandchildren; one aunt:  Dorothy B. Peterson of Elizabethtown, NC; one special daughter:  Lori Rogers; two special friends: Stella Johnson and Barbara Jacobs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

All family and friends are gathering at the residence located at 504 Quail St. Elizabethtown, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Majestic Ebony Motorcade.

The Compassionate Professionals of Majestic Funeral Home are working around the clock to provide the Ballard and connected families with uncompromising dignity during this difficult moment in life.
