Mr. Donald Sykes, Jr. Obituary

With determination to provide genuine comfort during this difficult moment in a mother and family’s life, the Majestic Family has been charged with the solemn duty to advise all that Mr. Donald Sykes Jr. has transitioned from this life into life eternal as of Wednesday,  while in Virginia.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Mr. Sykes have been finalized and will commence on Wednesday between the hours of 5pm and 7pm for moments of reflection at Majestic Funeral Home. Donald’s mother and family will climax his life remembrance with an Obsequies on Thursday at Elizabethtown Middle School Gymnasium beginning at 2pm. Following the order of service, Mr. Sykes’ physical temple along with his cherished loved ones will be escorted to the Turnbull Community Cemetery for Interment Rites. As hard as it will be for Donald’s mother and children to depart without their “Ray of sunshine” God our Heavenly Father promised to be a father for the fatherless and a son for a mother who’s lost her precious child.

The love he shared will always be cherished by his two daughters:  Donyiella Rae’-Paris Sykes and Monica Faith Tynes of Virginia; two sons:  Sa’von Jamir Sykes of Charlotte, NC and Sha’reff Ray-Metrius Sykes of Virginia; mother:  Flora Ann Wright and stepmother:  Angela Sykes, both of Elizabethtown, NC; stepbrother:  Maurice Rhodie of  Elizabethtown, NC; grandmother:  Arleather Wright of   Elizabethtown, NC; special friend:  Danielle Askew of Virginia; special aunts:  Phillip Norgeaus of Florida; Alice West (Aunt B) of Durham, NC and Phyllis Bowen of Leland, NC; special uncles:  Perry Bowen, Jr. of Virginia and John Wright (Uncle Babe) of Elizabethtown, NC;  adopted sister:  Tiea Bellamy; adopted brother:  Lee  Bellamy and a host of other relatives and friends.
